Through dynamic outreach, hands-on education, and career-building opportunities, we’re opening doors for new voices to thrive and succeed in the world of craft beer and beyond.

Meet the Founder

Cicerone Program Certified Beer Server (CBS) and Craft Beer Educator

Mickey Bryant is the Founder of Black and Brew Chicago, Inc., an education-driven organization dedicated to expanding craft beer knowledge, building community, and creating legacy through learning. She is a craft beer educator, Cicerone Program Certified Beer Server (CBS), and the developer of the Craft Beer Basics course, a comprehensive curriculum designed for City Colleges of Chicago, as well as the author of Craft Beer Basics. She has co-hosted the Beer University series of domestic and international beer tastings, tours, and pairings and has led cultural sensitivity trainings in collaboration with the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild. Mickey has served as a guest speaker and panelist at local, national, and international conferences and has been featured in industry articles, blogs, and podcasts focused on craft beer education, diversity, and community engagement. She also serves as an Instructional Design Consultant and Chief AI Strategist at BAB AI Solutions, the firm she founded to support innovative, scalable education and workforce development initiatives.

Mickey developed Black and Brew Chicago’s education-focused model, which integrates curriculum development, brewery-based learning experiences, and community engagement. This proven model has successfully expanded the organization to six chapters across the Midwest and East Coast, including Chicago, Cleveland, Youngstown, Indianapolis, Delaware, and Columbus.
